Description

Beacons Backpackers is part of the New Inn pub a traditional 15th century coaching inn where we offer excellent food, real ales, continental coffees and wines. Situated in the small village of Bwlch we are positioned on the A40 between the Black mountains and Brecon Beacons.

The accommodation has 14 bunks ensuite facilities in modern clean rooms, there are 2 four bed dorms and 1 six bed dorm.We extend a warm welcome to individuals as well as groups.

Heating/Cooking Facilities

The backpackers has full central heating and there are also drying facilities for wet clothes.

Nearest Public Transport

National and local bus services to Brecon, Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Abergavenny is also our local train station. Taxis are also available to and from Brecon. The bus stops right outside our front door.

Local Interests/Attractions

We are perfectly situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, 4 miles from Llangorse Lake, 4 miles from Crickhowell. Canoeing, Climbing, Caving, Cycling, Walking, Orienteering, Fishing, Sailing and horse riding are just a few of the activities the area has to offer. If you fancy something a little less energetic then there's a number of local festivals that take place at different times throughout the year, these include the Brecon Jazz Festival, the Hay on why Literature Festival, the Royal Welsh Show and many others.

We have breathtaking views from our rooms and car park.

There really is something for everyone and we like to think we offer the ideal base to enjoy any of the interests and attractions the area has to offer.
