Description

Maesbryncoch Barn is a well equipped small bunkhouse near Builth Wells in Mid-Wales. It is in an elevated position on the side of Aberedw Hill with lovely views of the local Hills. It is ideal for families (children are welcome) and small groups who love the country side and outdoor life. The local area offers excellent walking, mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, bird watching, paragliding and riding. The barn is less than two miles from the Wye Valley and the Sustrans national cycle network, and only 3 miles from the Royal Welsh Show Ground.

Heating/Cooking Facilities

The kitchen area is equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, 2 gas rings, toaster, and large rustic table. There is a separate washroom with hot shower and heated towel rail. There is a gas heater in the main part of the barn.

What to bring

Sleeping bags. Pillows in clean pillowcases are provided on the fold–out beds.
Bedding and towel hire is available at a small extra charge.
Home cooked supper can be provided if ordered in advance.

Local Interests/Attractions

Only 2 miles from the Wye Valley and 3 miles from the Royal Welsh Show ground, it is an excellent area for many outdoor pursuits, such as walking, mountain biking, riding, fishing, canoeing, paragliding. The little market town of Builth Wells, 3 1/2 miles away, has a theatre, golf course, leisure centre and swimming pool, and a good range of shops and pubs.
