Description
The Ysbryd-y-Gwynt Bunkhouse (translated into English means ‘Spirit of the Wind’ after the breeze that gently rustles through the trees), is a 200 year old converted stone stables on a former working farm, surround by trees and nestled on a hillside overlooking a green and beautifully tranquil valley.
It is small and cosy with as many of the original features as possible being saved and incorporated into modern day living to keep the buildings’ wonderful quaint character. We have tried to make it as homely as possible keeping the 200 year old beams, the original wooden stable walls, etc., giving it a warm, countrified feeling.
The ground floor has two bedrooms each with two pairs of bunk beds, a small entrance hallway, open plan sitting/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, two separate toilets/shower rooms. The first floor houses a third bedroom with three single beds.
There is a secure storage area for bicycles/canoes; a drying room for wet clothes and ample parking for a number of vehicles.
There is also camping available in our adjoining field with use of the Bunkhouse bathroom facilities when it is unoccupied.
Heating/Cooking Facilities
The bunkhouse is self-catering with, if required, food supplied for a wholesome breakfast and energy packed lunches from the farmhouse for a modest extra charge by arrangement.
The well-equipped kitchen has microwave, fridge, freezer, sink and cooker/oven.
